The pupil premium Grant is additional funding schools receive to support the attainment of those children whose parents are, or have been, in receipt of certain benefits at some point. Schools are carefully monitored on how this additional funding is spent. It needs to be used in such a way so that the gap between those children eligible and those children not eligible (if there is one) can be diminished.
We are very fortunate here, as the attainment of our pupil premium children is in line with all children nationally or it exceeds national figures. If you click here you can see a table of how we spent our Pupil premium grant in 2015/2016 academic year, what our intended outcomes were and whether or not we achieved them.
We have allocated the funding for 2016/2017 in a strategic way in order to achieve the best outcomes for pupils. Click here to see a copy of the Pupil Premium Strategy. This will be reviewed in July 2017.
