St Anne's Catholic Primary School

"Love one another as I have loved you in our home, school and Parish family"

In January, the Prime Minister announced that the country would be going into another National Lockdown.  The vast majority of our children will be educated remotely.  We have to limit the children in school to those of Critical workers or those who are classed as vulnerable.  To keep the children, the staff, our parents and the wider community safe, we have to limit the number of children in each bubble to 15.

All teachers will be educating from home.    Teaching assistants will be supervising the children who are in school.  The children in school will be accessing exactly the same lessons and activities that the children from home are accessing.  Like the children learning from home, they will be issued with a laptop and will work through their activities for the day.

  • All schools must publish their Remote Education Plan.  You can read our plan here.
  •  It is vital that we keep our staff, children, parents and visitors as safe as possible during this time.  Please click here to access our Risk Assessment.
  • WE have made amendments to our Child protection and safeguarding policy.  The amended policy can be found here.

What you can expect from us

Your child will receive an email from their teacher every morning at 8.00. We will continue to teach the key areas of RE, Reading, spelling, maths, phonics (or grammar) and writing comprehension.  Your child will have four lessons each day that they will need to complete the work for.  Each day your teacher will send an introductory video that explains each of the tasks and demonstrates their expectations on how to complete the attached worksheets, if appropriate.  I have included an example for you to look at so you can know what to expect.

Click here to access an example of an introductory video.

Your child's daily timetable will look something like this:
