Outdoor Education
At St Anne's Catholic School, we are committed to developing the whole child. We want to support children Academically, Emotionally and Spiritually.
We have a specialist Teacher on our Team, trained in Outdoor Education through Coventry Outdoor Education.
God has gifted us with this beautiful and diverse world and at St Anne's we utilise the space we have been bless with, to the full potential.
We integrate the school curriculum alongside character education – helping students to raise their attainment and sense of self through authentic learning experiences.
Our Outdoor Education Specialist works with all children in the school to deliver a bespoke curriculum that addressed their individual needs. This Outdoor Education incorporates;
- Bushcraft and survival activities
- Learner led, play based sessions
- Outdoor therapeutic practices
- Curriculum lessons outdoors
- Forest School practises
Outdoor Education is integrated in to the Curriculum at Our School to equip our young people with valuable social skills for their future, improve relationships and raising their aspirations. We also encourage a respect for the world we live in, supporting children to grow food for the community.
We work closely as a team to ensure all children are supported and where needed, bespoke interventions are utilised to enhance child mental health, wellbeing and personal development.
